Strawberry Jam

Strawberries

I love to eat jam, I’ll take a spoon and scoop a bit of jam whenever I go into the fridge. This strawberry jam has become a favorite of mine. It's super simple to make, you need just 3 ingredients; strawberry, sugar and lemon juice to make the most delicious strawberry jam. It take less than 30 mins to make and can last in the fridge for up to a month, of it lasts that long that is. This strawberry jam is perfect for toasts, doughnuts or as it is.

what you need

400g frozen strawberries

1 cup sugar

3 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

Combine ingredients and cook over medium low heat for 20 - 25 mins. Crush strawberry chunks with a fork if you want it smooth otherwise leave as it is. Pour strawberry jam into sterilized jar, cover lid and allow to cool down before putting it in the fridge.

*STERILIZE JAR BY PLACING IN A BIG PAN CONTAINING WATER AND BRINGING IT TO A BOIL.

Use as filling for my brioche doughnuts or as topping for my fonio porridge
